Broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection

Used for

  • Provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection for high-risk or infected wounds with light to moderate exudate.

In infected wounds, silver is beneficial for the first few days/weeks, after which non-silver dressings should be used instead.

When not to use

MELCURA™ SilverGel is not intended for use on clean, healing wounds where infection is not present or suspected. For clean wounds and closed surgical incisions, silver confers no benefit.

For routine wound care, we recommend MELCURA™ HoneyGel or HoneyPlus to help maintain a moist, healing environment without disrupting the natural healing process.

Ingredients

  • 55 ppm silver
